Crimson Companion

Effect: A small packet of cards [approximately 12] is removed from a blue back and handed to the spectator. The spectator is asked to mentally choose and memorize any one card from the packet. The spectator is asked to shuffle the packet and return it back to the remainder of the deck on the table. The performer turns his back towards the spectator. The spectator is instructed to pick up the deck and remove the same amount of cards equal to the valve of their mentally selected card. Example: If the five of hearts is mentally selected, so five cards are to be secretly removed from the top of the deck. These removed cards are asked to be placed in the spectators pocket, out of view. The performer now turns to face the spectator. The performer explains that he placed a single, red backed card in the deck that will match the "mate" to the mentally selected card [same value, same color]. Performer deals 18 cards face down on the table in a pile.
The 18th card is turned face up by the spectator. It's the

Bob Solari's No Brainer
Memorized Deck
Effect # 1: Performer places a blue card case in front
of spectator. Performer explains that he has memorized the
numerical order of every card in the deck. Performer
introduces a red deck. The red deck is mixed by the
spectator. Cards are spread face down across the table.
Spectator pushes out any card from the spread.
This card is now turned up. Immediately calls out the
number 27! Spectator is instructed to remove the cards from
the blue card case and to count down to the 27th card.
BOTH CARDS MATCH! Immediately go into effect #2.
Effect # 2 : Blue card case is again placed in front
of spectator. Performer turns his back towards spectator and
gives the following instructions. Spread the red cards face
up on the table and to slide their favorite card face down.
Gather the rest of the spread cards into one pile and also
turn face down. Performer turns to face spectator and says
"wouldn't it be amazing that your favorite card is the 16th
card in the blue deck?" The spectator says "yes"! Spectator
removes the cards from the blue case and counts down 16

A deck of card is ribbon-spread on the table. A spectator
selects any card from the spread. She signs her name across
the face. The magi signs his name across the back. The magi's
hands are absolutely empty when he folds the card back and
forth to weaken the cardboard. The card is then torn into

Supplied with a stainless steel cup 4" x 3-3/16" in
diameter, a giant size half dollar coin 3" in diameter
and a normal half dollar incorporated into a special
gimmick. The illustrated instruction sheet explains the
routine and walks the performer through the two 'moves'
involved in working the effect.
Performer is seen holding a stainless steel cup in one
hand. Performer reaches in the air, plucks out a half
dollar which is heard when thrown into the cup. This is
repeated 6 or 7 times. Performer makes an upward toss

spectator is asked to choose any two halves and place
them into the cup. The performer visually removes one
of the halves from the cup and places it into his
pocket. The performer tosses an invisible half from his
pocket to the cup. The half can actually be heard
landing into the cup! The two halves are poured from
the cup onto the table. The performer now reaches into
the air and produces a jumbo 2 inch half dollar! A
great ending to a great routine! The entire routine is
performed without any sleight of hand. The simple props
do 99% of the work for you. This routine can be
performed close up and in short sleeves. There is
no looped coin or the like used. Remember, both
sides or hands are shown empty before, during

HAUNTED BOLT
The magician tells the audience about his recent visit
to an old Victorian house, believed to be haunted. He
shows the audience a souvenir from his visit: a large
brass bolt and nut. The nut is screwed onto the bolt
and everything is placed on the table. The magician
covers the nut and bolt for just a moment with a silk
handkerchief and when the cover is removed, the
audience can see the bolt has unscrewed itself from the
nut!

Signed, Sealed and Amazing

sealed envelope. A card is freely
selected (no force) and signed by the
spectator. The signed card is returned to the deck and
mixed. The spectator looks through the deck to locate

Effect: Performer invites two volunteers up on stage to assist him. Volunteers are positioned on complete opposite sides of the stage. Volunteer "A" is asked to merely think of any card, but not to announce it, just simply think of it. Performers asks this volunteer to quietly whisper the name of this card in the performers ear. The performer now introduces a deck of cards. The cards are removed from its case. Cards are shown to Volunteer "A" to be completely mixed. This thought of card is removed from the deck and given to Volunteer "A" who is asked to place this card in their pocket. A magical gesture is made over the spectators closed fist. The spectator is asked to open their hand. The dime has not changed to a quarter but has shrunk to a little tiny dime! The performer says... "I'm sorry, I meant to say that the dime will become a quarter of its original size." Instantly and visibly the penny turns into a 3 inch quarter!
