"A" is asked to merely think
of any card, but not to announce it,

Ring-A-Ding
(McPhearson) A brass colored ring and a
shoelace is examined. The performer places
the ring on the lace, and magically, it
melts off. This is done again very slowly
while swinging the ring on the lace back
and forth and overhead. Again, the ring
seems to melt off the lace. The performer
now tosses the ring at the middle of the
lace, visibly, the ring
melts onto the lace! Again, the ring is
removed. Then, for the most difficult part,
the ring is balanced on the lace, and with
a short jerk, the ring
visibly penetrates onto the
lace. This is the most visual "Ring on
String" routine that I have ever seen.
The props do most of the work for you.

Aunt Clara's
Prediction
(Lee Woodside) The Performer produces a
tape recorder and a cassette tape. The
Performer states that his Aunt Clara (
Clara Voyant, this is) has tape recorded a
prediction for the experiment that is about
to be conducted. The tape is placed on the
table and left in plain sight for the
audience to observe. A deck of cards is
produced and spread face up showing it to
be quite ordinary. A volunteer is invited
to deal cards FACE UP into the
Performers hand, one at a time, and to stop
whenever he/she wishes to do so (no force).
When the volunteer stops at a card, the
tape is played and of course Aunt
Clara's prediction MATCHES

one red and the other blue. Spectator is
asked to select a deck. Performer removes
the cards from the Spectator's card
case and spreads the cards showing them to
be all different. Spectator is handed their
deck. Performer begins to shuffle the cards
asking the Spectator to do the same.
Performer asks the Spectator to place their
face-down deck behind their back. Performer
does the same. Performer asks the spectator
to turn the top card face-up and cut the
deck again to burry this face-up card.
Performer does the same. The Performer asks
the Spectator to bring the deck in front of
them. Performer does the same. The
Performer now spreads the cards across the
table. Only one card is face-up. The
Performer asks the Spectator to do the
same. Only one card is face-up. Amazingly,
BOTH CARDS MATCH! This effect is simple and
direct but the impact is staggering!

Bookmark Miracle
(Bob Solari) Spectator freely (no force)
selects a card from a deck and signs their
name across the face of the card. Signed
car is returned to the deck and the deck is
mixed. The performer tries and fails
several times to locate the signed card.
Deck is handed to spectator who is then
asked to look through the deck and locate
their card. The signed card has vanished!
Performer apologizes for not being able to
locate the signed card. Performer explains
that he was up late last night reading a
mystery novel. Performer shows both hands
empty. Performer reaches into his rear
pants pocket and removes the mystery novel.
Performer says, "I'll show you
where I left off in the book, I have it
marked off with a bookmark." Performer
riffles the pages in the book and stops at
the bookmark (a face down playing card).
Performer asks spectator to remove the
bookmark (card) and turn it face up.

A Real Turn

away, the selected card is returned to the

looking for a card with their signature on
